Secondary Character

Secondary Character Studios

You bring the idea.
I’ll build the rest.

Websites and small workflow tools for people who have an idea and no one to build it with. Most projects ship in two weeks. Built with you, not for you.

I run this. I’ll be the one you talk to. No account managers, no handoffs.

What I make

01

Web presence

Sites and progressive web apps that look like you and work hard for you. From a single brand page to richer builds with booking, intake, or content built in.

02

Workflow tools

Small, custom automation for your inbox, your scheduling, your day, built to fit how you actually work.

Recent work

alexsomerville.com, Toronto voice actor brand site

Voice Actor Brand Site

Alex Somerville, Voice Actor

Toronto VO talent: commercial, video games, animation, motion capture. I built it for myself before I built it for anyone else, which is also where SCS started.

elanadunkelman.co, Toronto actor multi-room showcase site

Actor Portfolio Site

Elana Dunkelman, Actor & Voice

Toronto actor whose career spans film & TV, video games, animation, and writing: Fenyx in Immortals Fenyx Rising, Ready or Not, Hotel Transylvania. Multi-room showcase so casting finds the right read no matter which medium they came for.

craigburnatowski.com, voice artist, actor, and musician

Voice / Acting / Music

Craig Burnatowski

Multi-format performer with a marquee role: Albert Wesker in Resident Evil 4 Remake, returning as Zeno in RE: Requiem. The site leads with the hook and lets the breadth (six albums, a Guinness Record, twenty years of credits) pay it off below the fold.

What it costs

  • Brand site

    from $2,500

$1,500 for ACTRA and CAVA members

Actors, voice actors, and solo pros who need one clean, professional home online. The place a casting director, agent, or client lands and instantly gets who you are.

    • A custom-designed site built around you, not a template everyone else is using
    • Homepage plus your key pages: About, Reel or Work, Contact (usually three to five pages)
    • Your demos and reel embedded and playable, video and audio
    • Mobile-first and fast: looks right on a phone, loads instantly
    • A contact form that emails you directly
    • Set up so a search for your name finds you, plus simple analytics so you can see who’s visiting
    • Managed hosting for the first year, bundled in. No separate platform bill
    • Two rounds of revisions to get it right
    • A 30-day fix window after launch, then you email me when something needs changing

About two weeks. You own the code and content outright.

  • Full build

    from $4,500

Businesses and creators who need the site to do something, not just present. Booking, a shop, content you update yourself, or a custom tool built around how you actually work.

    • Everything in Brand site, on a larger site structured for more content
    • Whatever fits the job: online booking and scheduling, a content system you can edit yourself, online payments, a client or member area, or a custom internal tool like intake forms and dashboards
    • Connections to the tools you already use: calendar, payments, email, CRM
    • Two rounds of revisions per phase

Four to five weeks. Best paired with Ongoing Support if you’ll keep growing it.

  • Ongoing Support

    $350/mo

Full build and workflow clients who keep changing and growing. Like having a small studio on call.

    • Hosting, monitoring, and security kept current
    • Three hours a month of hands-on work: new features, content updates, tweaks, tooling help
    • Priority turnaround. You jump the queue
    • Anything past the three hours is $95/hour, always quoted before I start
    • Month to month, cancel anytime

Most Brand site clients don’t need this. It’s for people actively iterating.

Community rate

ACTRA and CAVA members get a Brand site for a flat $1,500, down from $2,500. One card or both, same price. Union and voice work is a tight spot right now, and if you’re putting your own money into staying in it, I’d rather meet you partway.

Priced out?

Newer in the industry and these numbers feel out of reach? Reach out anyway. Smaller starter projects and payment plans are both on the table. I’d rather scope something that fits than have you talk yourself out of it.

No surprises

Final number depends on what you actually need. I’ll tell you before we start, not after.

What you actually get

It’s yours.

The code, the content, the domain: yours from launch. Yours to modify, host elsewhere, or take to another developer. Nothing gets redesigned, deprecated, or paywalled out from under you.

Where it starts

Your conversation with Anton is just the beginning.

This is Anton, an AI assistant Alex built, running on his own server. Tell him what you’re trying to make. When he’s heard enough to brief Alex, he’ll send the conversation along.

  1. Anton

Hey — I’m Anton. Alex built me to ask a few quick questions up front, so when he picks up the conversation he already knows what you’re working on. So — what are you trying to make? (Rather skip the bot? Email Alex directly: hello@secondarycharacter.studio.)
